I exchanged info with a previous owner about its authenticity and I am skeptical of the claim that it is, "Only three of the five Pacific's produced in this color combination are known to exist; this is one of them!"

Actually, this would be the 4th car as I know the existence of three others. The "R" code cars had some specific details that I will not disclose here. But the biggest issue is the interior of this car. It is not at all like the other 3 known cars.

Caveat Emptor.

Hi Roger

Thanks for the warning on the '54 Pacific, would be a shame for someone seeking the genuine article to be scammed. I note its firewall is painted black, either an indication of the original color or another example of the "GM painted their firewalls black in the '60's so must be every carmaker did too"

Added photos of telltale cowl and hinges, 4-20-2019.

I've read that Craigslist has begun charging $5.00 a month to run the cars and truck for sale posting, no longer free. Suspect this will cull out a lot of unserious sellers or cause them to price more realistically in hopes of moving their car before it cost too much.

The '50 Eight club sedan, sand and blue for sale for a while:

A '53 Clipper Special, black, shows 30K miles:

A '55 Patrician, pretty two-tone blue, notes low miles:

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Roger,

Thought the seats looked different, but I'm not familiar with these one off.

Here is a 1941

Hello Steve: You are picking up on some of the other things we noticed. Can tell you of the three "R" code cars, one is in NJ in the collection of a noted Packard Collector, another is in MD and another was donated to us at the PPG. All have the same interior treatment and data plate numbers in close proximity.

Very coincidentally there is a 1941 120 in the same color combo a short distance from the 1954 Pacific.
