Thanks to everyone that has been adding pictures to the Packard Photo Archive. I think we are getting close to 3,500 photos in there now.

I went ahead and filed all the pictures I could identify that I took at the PI meet into their appropriate Year category. If you can identify any of the pictures in the "Unidentified" category, then please leave a comment on that picture.

At some point either myself or one of the Website Ambassadors will go through and then file they away correctly based on your comments.

Thanks again!

Kev - I just browsed the "unidentified" and still see about 50 or so that I identified with a comment a couple of months back. Perhaps you can move them from "unidentified" to the proper year?

Dave, I will take care of it. Also you (being an Ambassador) can also edit a photo and change it's category. So you can fix anything I screw up!

Guess I didn't realize the awesome power of this office! When you get done moving those, I'll go back thru again and see what more I can do, and try moving them myself.

It's impossible to do the bathtub cars as to year because you can't tell w/o the VN a 22nd series 48 from a 22nd series 49, and similarly for the 23rd series. Likewise telling a 46 from a 47. But if you had catch-all category for 21st, 22nd and 23rd series, we could clear them from the unidentified file in that manner.

Dave, I have those all moved now. Thanks for your (and the others) help in ID's lots of those pictures. I will make a few changes to help with the 22nd/23rd series categories.

Ok, I did a little combining and instead of having the following categories:

1946
1947
1948
1949
1950

We now have:

1946-47 (21st Series)
1948-49 (22nd Series)
1949-50 (23rd Series)

The pictures that were in the old 1949 category I tried to move the appropriate series category, but I probably have misfiled a few as I don't know my "bathtub" models that well. I am sure the folks that know them better than I do will help to get them straightened out.

Now that's a great shot! Not sure if it was done intentionally or not, but the flag in the back is great. That should be on a poster or calendar!

I see a member who joined PackardInfo recently, Forum name "clovers", has been adding a fair few pic's.
Like to take this opportunity to Pat on board and to offer for all the fine pic's he's added. I see from Pat's profile he's a Car Photographer so that explains the catalog approach to the pic's titling. And Pat, if you have a Packard, I invite you to include it in the Owner Registry together with a pic (Of course!), any known history and how you acquired it.
