Found Jacks 47 Packard Clipper, the one that's in the Preston's commercial. Found it in Drums, PA. After Jack passed away, his brother John went ahead and sold most of his vehicles that were left on the east coast. Sold his clipper to a friend and it sat in his yard for two years until we bought it a couple months ago. Sweeeet ride. We have the body off and the frame out, planning on dropping the body on a 2005 Lincoln town car frame. If anyone's wants to see Jack Palances packard I would be happy to share pictures!

As a Packard with an interesting ownership history, I'm curious why you've decided to dismember it.

Perhaps the Prestone failed to do it's duty for the subsequent owner.

G'day JacksPackardClipper,

to PackardInfo.
I endorse O_D's comments, although it's for including your '47 Super Clipper Eight Touring Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry.

Well we decided to go for the restomod because my father is 74 now, Jack was his favorite actor and still is. I wanted to get this packard for him to drive but it's much to hard to drive and quite honestly doesn't drive all that smooth. A Lincoln chassis fits right under it, has air suspension, power steering, power disk brakes all the way around. We want it as a driver, a comfortable driver at that. The body and everything inside will be original, just a different power plant and frame. Sticking with the packard wire wheel set and white walls. I'm sorry you don't agree with what we want to do with it. If you know of anyone that wants the frame, motor, transmission and everything else bolted to the frame feel free to private message me. Thanks again.
