good evening all,
I have a couple of questions about my 36 120 I just recently bought and rather than make many separate posts, I decided to just make on post. Answer what you can, any help is appreciated.
1- What mounts the hood to the car, and does anybody know where I can get a hand on them?(my hood is just sitting on top and often get outs of alignment.
2- Where can I find replacement upholstery (mainly carpet? i cant find a company that goes back to pre war.
3- Anybody have a latch mechanism for the smaller door on the bottom part of the rear of the vehicle?(trunk area)
4- what is supposed to go here(see picture) in these holes on the fender? the previous owner installed these and they are absolutely awful. They scratch the hood every time I open it!
yall are the best and i sincerely appreciate any help i can get.

I can answer all, but must comment on last first. That has to be the worst failed attempt to mount the side mount hardware I've ever seen. Stop by my garage and I'll show you my car and you'll see...
I am out of town for at least a few more days, send me a private message with your name and phone number.

Hogshair, mohair and wool carpet materials such as were used in prewar cars are available from quite a few different sources in several qualities. I'm not aware of premade kits, you buy the bulk material and have it cut and bound to fit. You might check Darvin Kuehl's book on just which models had carpet fitted and which didn't; as I recall 1935 and 1936 junior cars with the exception of the convertible coupes did not have carpet in the front seat area. One excellent source for early carpet material is Hirsch Auto in Newark, NJ.
