I've looked at a number of photos but still cannot verify on which side the front license plate goes. Is it the driver's side, or the passenger's side. The few photos I've seen have it on the driver's side, which does make sense to me. I didn't take photos of the front bumper brackets when I removed them to show where the mounting bolts go for the license plate bracket, so I'm guessing here and since I am guessing, I'm coming to those who know a lot more about this than I.

Almost always on the driver's side.

Here is a photo of my 37 Six Convertible Coupe displaying a front license plate mounted on the drivers side. I believe different brackets were used for left and right sides. The photo was taken in March 2008 at the Texas Packard Meet in Salado. This was our first meet. A matching plate was mounted on the rear bracket. New Mexico used two plates in 1937. The car is now in Belgium, but the lady, thankfully, is still here.

I do love that car!!. It is the same color as mine, which was the original color. Too bad it is across the pond, but as they say, c'est la guerre.
