We'll save our trunk space for spare tire and jack, not AC. Worked on fender skirts today and cleaned up one of the hubcaps to see how it looks. Pretty plain Jane, but that is how the military would have done it.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Probably more so in MacArthurs case with his ego, than Ike, but Ike was a Packard guy. In either case, I got them and I like the look.

I have an original A/C bracket for the Clipper, and it is definitely different than the Senior series car's bracket. However, based on the illustration above, the compressor itself doesn't sit quite as low as I originally thought (or remembered, as we had a 1942 Clipper with factory a/c). The Cadillac compressor sat more to the side of the engine, where as the illustration above shows it to be sitting much higher. Still... not quite as high as the Senior cars.

Should you find yourself running short on inspiration at some future point, maybe this photo will provide some fresh motivation. This photo at the 2015 CCCA Packard event at the Gilmore Museum in Michigan, IMO one of the most outstanding Packard events in recent years, plenty of photos and if there is interest, I'd be glad to start a thread and post.
