Trying to find homes for all the parts I have that I KNOW do not belong to our '37s...
The first is some kind of sheet metal shield and the second is a casting with no part number. It is about 25" x 1.75".

I don't know about either part, BUT, the fastest way to identify the parts is dispose of them, it's then that you'll need them/it. deep.

The top one is the blaster exhaust shield of an X-Wing Starfighter that's seen some action in the Empire.

How about this:
Once upon a time, when Detroit was still part of the legendary Packardia empire they found an old fresco, which contained a potential answer to the original question. By help of scientific application of computer-generated imagery a natural imitation was modeled, showing the proper use of both parts.

WOW! Guscha,
Now I remember!
I pinched them from the booty bucket back years ago when I was doing an archeological dig in Vindolanda at Hadrian's Wall.

...Now to WHICH museum should I bequeath them for a big tax write off?!?!?
