Good afternoon... Miss Prudence went to the Auto Parts Store for a new oil filter (usually a special order) for her annual Oil Change and Lube job at Kelley's Automotive in Fountain Hills tomorrow afternoon. She also went to ACE Hardware for a clamp to stop a rattle in the tail pipe area...I think. We'll see when we lift her up tomorrow. Ernie in Arizona

Ernie,
My dark secret is out. Where has it gone? Why to a new owner and home! At the auction I attended last month I had For Sale signs adorning it and received some interest because of that. One of those was an unsuccessful bidder on the '28 Studebaker President Roadster which went for an auction high of AUD$40,400. So with money in his pocket Steve turned to my Packard which he'd driven around a very bumpy cow paddock on the inspection day Saturday. On the Monday he called into my place and we settled a deal. Parts of the deal were, I'd 1) Deliver the Packard to his house about 250kms north near Newcastle, and 2) A years membership to our Aussie Packard Club. Then delivered the car on the Wednesday, an uneventful drive, partly through heavy peak hour traffic on the fringes of Sydney which has to be passed on the way north. So "my" final Packard drive was a good one!

Well Mal, now you have to find a 51 or newer. You had a 38, 41, 48, and a 50, so now you have to find a 51 or newer Packard. Time for a V8 maybe?

The thought had crossed my mind.....but I'm aiming to stay strong. Unless there's a real big lottery win don't see myself owning another Packard.

Nice one, Mal. Looks like it went to a good home.
What are his plans for it? Hard to imagine you without a Packard - as others have observed. Cheers Brian

Just took the coupe out for the 1st time this year; just blew the dust off a little and took a good friend (70 years old) for his first Packard ride. He was impressed!
