Years ago I bought a container full of various sizes of copper washers from Harbor Freight.

They'll outlast me.

After replacing my Brake Master Cylinder, I could not get it to stop leaking. Both copper washers where about paper thin. Ran down to Auto Zone bought their assortment and found two that where very close in size but had to use a little sand paper to enlarge the holes on both washer. No leaks, all better.
