I have been looking at 833's and I see some have louvers and some have doors in the hood sides.

Which is correct? If either, what determines which one would be on a car?

According to Turnquist's book, page 64, a louvered hood was standard on the 826/833 and a 3-door hood was optional.

If you see an 833 with more than three doors (optional), it is NOT an 833.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.
