Is the exhaust pipe on a 32 supposed to be wrapped or left uncovered?
Thanks,
Richard

Wrapped. The insulation protects passengers (not to mention wooden floor boards) from excessive heat. Today most are using glass wool materials as an alternative to the original asbestos. Kits were available years back, I don't have any current info on them but most any high end restoration shop will have information on availability.

Good Evening...I would suspect that the wrapping would also keep the updraft carburetor cooler in warm weather driving if you drive your Packard very much...Ernie in Arizona
