Lost the Dip Stick during the re-build (I know, Big NO NO, but it happened !) So I'm desperately searching for a proper replacement. One issue I'm having is locating the proper Part Number for it. I've gone to page 12 in the Packard Parts Service manual, and I thought it would be there under Motor Oil Level Indicator, but the description sounds to me like a gauge and not the Dip Stick. My engine is #376170.
Could anyone solve my Part Number problem, and direct me to a good parts source?
Thank you,
TomB

It sounds to me like what you've focused on is the electric oil level float and sender in the crankcase that will indicate oil level on the gasoline gauge when you press the little selector switch under the gauge. That switch determines which sending unit (oil or gas) is going to read on the gauge.

I'm sure the conventional dipstick is listed in the parts list, perhaps you should try again? If it helps you, I'll gladly take measurements of my dipstick for you. As to a source, none of the larger Packard vendors have it?

PS- see page 92A of the Packard 1933-1936 Service Parts List for an illustration of your 1101 motor showing the dipstick with its part number, 205086. The actual numeric listing is on page 112, same part number used 1933 - 1935, Eight and Super Eight.

I have no idea what document you're using, can you clarify?
Page 12 of the 1933-1936 Parts List covers brake parts.
