Too bad the trans lift isn't higher up.

There are 2 bolts on top of the trans not one. FYI.

Its out!!! Removing the rear tail housing makes it tons easier.

About the two bolts - yes I was wondering about your picture, because I only saw 1 hole in the firewall.

About removing the tail housing - in the last picture, you put it back on? The crossmember that supports the transmission can be easily removed. It has a rubber mount on top, and that mounts bolts both to the crossmember and to the transmission. Don't be a dummy like me and try to unbolt the mount to the crossmember, instead unbolt the mount from the tranmission. I think then you can, after jacking the transmission up just a little bit, remove the crossmember and then you wouldn't have to remove the tailhousing. That's really more for when you have to put the transmission back in, because you don't want to be installing the tailhousing, perhaps, after the transmission is in, with all the opportunities for getting dirt everywhere.

Yes I put it back on. I also removed the cross member and mount as well. It was just tight to remove for me.

What sort of lift is that you have the car up on??

It is a full rise platform scissor lift from Greg Smith Equipment.
