I went to Hershey to look for parts i needed for the 160. I bought a set of tires for the car still had the wrapping on them. When I got home I realized the tires came from the same persons estate where I bought the car. The estate was probably 250 miles from Hershey. The shipping label was still on the Tires.

I got the new tires and tube mounted and balanced. Also I had my transmission rebuilt by a well known transmission guy. He said he really didn’t rebiuld them anymore but if washed all the parts he would do it. That is back in the car . Im working on a few wiring issues with the overdrive but I think I have that figured out. Also working on the exhaust I have the pipe mounted on the exhaust manifold and I think I located a muffler. I bought a gas tank a Hershey and then I took it to be cleaned and coated.OUCH!! I still need to get the sender. KM life styles said they could make 1 so by the time the gas tank is installed that will be almost 1000. Dollars

Finished a bunch of things gas tank installed flywheel cover installed exhaust system done decided to take it for a ride threw a chain in the trunk and told the wife stay by the phone my daughter made a short video i will try to download it. Still having issues with overdrive but i put about 5 miles on it First time down the road in 43 years

The video is compressed in a so-called ZIP file, so it has to be unpacked by the users. But thereafter it works, including sound.

Video files are typically too large for then website. So you have to upload them to either a video sharing platform like YouTube or share them via something like Google Photos, which also supports video sharing.

Then you just post a link to that shared video

I replaced the starter with a rebuilt one I got off ebay a while ago . When i installed it it was turning over very slow and then after a few revolutions it started turning faster. After taking the car for a ride I shut it off and a few minutes later went to restart it. The starter would barely turn the engine over.The old starter worked better than that. Timing is good new heavy 2/0 battery cables and battery was also load tested.You never know what you are getting from ebay.

I have been working on lights had to order a new brake light switch. Also when I replaced the transmission I replaced the throw out bearing. The bearing said Bearings of America Lancaster Pa. Also trying to locate an overdrive cable mine is shot

Those cables are starting to become rare and fairly expensive. If you do get another please don't throw that one away as I think it could be made serviceable with a sleeve and a collar -- granted, the repair would be a bit more involved than the lockout cable assys requiring the simpler and more often needed fix.

First photo shows the usual failure where the crimp holding the housing splits letting the cable push out. Second photo shows an ordinary 2 screw split shaft collar repairing the split. On this one I also used an extra collar and enlarged the hole in the collar so it could go closer to the body just to make the repair look more continuous. On yours because of the larger diameter of the attaching half of the broken off piece a sleeve could probably be sized to replace that extra collar containing a hole that is large enough to be able to slide up the cable in one piece. It would be made to fit over the body and the larger diameter of the broken end.

If one piece is not possible then a thin sleeve over the bracket assy and a collar like piece to go over the broken end piece with an OD same size as the lockout assy that would fit inside the sleeve. The sleeve and broken end or collar could be held together by epoxy and several small setscrews that were flush with the sleeve diameter so as to be as hidden as possible. A regular split collar would then complete the repair on the crimped end holding the cable housing.
