The storm slid underneath us on Friday. We didn't even get rain.

10 hours in the car today and I'm spend. I'll sort and unwrap the treasures tomorrow.

Ok, some changes to today.

First I got the windshield to vent window channels installed on both side with stainless screws and the found some unmarked rubber in my rubber cache that literally snapped into that channel perfectly. No adhesive needed.

Next I unpacked the parts from yesterday which included the following;

Rear Fender
Running Board Supports
Good Rocker Panels
Trunk Rack with Arm and castings and the correct bumper supports.
Also, reproduction sill plates.

Then, I got all the bumper supports, rack castings, and arms painted. Then everything went on the car. With the re-chromed correct bumper.

I need to source all the correct hardware for the rack. Right now, it's put together with whatever hardware fit.

Also need to get the missing chrome strips and medallion for the rack.

I also mounted the backup light and the rumble seat step plate to the bumper supports.

The bumperettes need to move outboard or be replaced with the square ones

Fantastic haul. I had to make my aprons, they were a ghost of what had been! So nice to get the actual parts. Well done!

If anyone has a car with a trunk rack. Can you take some close up pictures of the assembled hardware. Trying to understand where various washers are used between the moving parts.

I've got one on the 115c but it's not a Packard rack. I'm interested in seeing the authentic installation as well.

I think the trunk racks add a nice feature to the back end of these cars. My 115C 1089 had a rack. I'll search through photos and see if there is anything helpful to you there. Glad you safari was productive and safe.

I like the profile of that weatherstrip. Did it come from Steele?

I pulled that and some other rubber out of an estate. That piece of rubber was in a unsealed bag. Not tag on bag and no molded part number on the part. Most Steele parts have the number on it. But the base of the rubber is 3/4 wide. Hopefully you can match it up to something on Steeles website.

Is your plan to use that on the A pillar or the roof rails, or both?
