Bell housing Boot

This is on a 1950 Super eight. I am looking for a new Bell Housing Clutch Fork Boot. I checked with Steel, and Kanter. Nothing listed. Someone else must have replaced theirs in the past, or found something else that would work. Any options would be much appreciated.

Did you try Max Merritt? They have it listed in their on-line catalog.

Agree. MaxMerritt has them and they do the job nicely. Just be advised you may need to slightly open the stitching at a couple of seams if the fork end and square spring like clip that holds the boot onto the bellhousing is the same size item on a Super8 as it is on the Custom8.

As I've said in other posts, do not go by what the vendors have listed. Most of their online stuff was put there years ago when the sites were created, then not updated much if at all. Call or email them. I know Max Merritt carries them because I just recently bought one.

No; I only tried Kanter, and Steel. Thank you all for the info, I'll call Max Merritt tomorrow.

I bought this car for a daily summer driver 1 1/2 years ago and was told was it great shape. Ha ha. I'm just half done re-wiring it.. While chasing down the over drive wires today, I found an old rag stuffed around the bell housing hole and taped to the throw out lever. Boy did I get shafted with is car.
