I went to the Historic Auto Attractions Museum in Roscoe, IL today and they had several Packards of historical note.

Stalin's 1937 V12 Packard is 15,000lbs. 3" thick windows are unreal.

Hirohito's 1935 is much more modest.

The 1941 Town Car was originally owned by the Jackie Kennedys father.

The 1941 Clipper I belive is a tribute car to the army staff cars of the period.

The 1946 Clipper was used by Perez the President of Columbia.

Did you tell them how to spell "Rollston" on Bouvier's 41?

There were a few typos we found. Some more glaring than others.

Good catch and, while I am not an expert, I believe it was Rollson by 1941 after they regrouped with a subtle respelling following bankruptcy in 1938.

Kev, The 41 army staff car is not a Clipper but having said that, am surprised they did not also manage to snag one of the several "MacArthur" Clippers that were purported to be his authentic car when making appearances in shows and publications. Could be wrong but believe most were disproved so were also tribute cars and would fit right in.

Kev, is the Packard's glass thickness above accurate or an estimate? The glass of the ZIS-115 is 75 millimeters (2.95 in) thick.
Due to an illness I was idle and restarted my website www.Guscha.de after more than ten years of inactivity. Although only about one percent of the material can be accessed online at the moment, the result of my research on the armored glass of the Soviet vehicle is among them.

I'm sure 3" is a rounded number as MM doesn't mean much to the average US visitor.

Thanks Kev, I agree. Thank you very much for taking us to the museum.
The thickness is -> impressive. If the bulletproof glass production did not differ significantly from the Soviet approach, then so-called -> Canada balsam was the cause of the yellowish tint. This substance was used to glue the glass components together.
Laminated glass panes of this type and thickness can even withstand -> shrapnel, as the following image shows.
