I second that. Keep up the good work over there Mal.

Thanks for helping promote PackardInfo.com in the land down-under.

I think the success of this site has a lot to do with the fact that it is completely independent of (and not beholding to) any club, yet open to anyone with a genuine interest in keeping the Packard name on the road. Although there are many Packard owners who are not online, getting the word out in print might give them reason to do so.

However, I hope newcomers realize that, as much as this site has to offer in only its second year, the development work is ongoing. This is a very dynamic site. BigKev has several ideas for new features and cross-linking some existing ones for better utilization. I'm still in the midst of scanning the 1955-56 parts book, and have several other pieces I'd like to contribute on the V8s, but I have a couple ideas for additional features that enthusiasts might enjoy.

So, I hope site visitors - both new and old - will continue to contribute scans of any info that we don't have to help connect the dots. Then, as we cover most of those bases, perhaps more original articles will be contributed to help fill in what the factory missed.

P.S. - Did you notice the new counter that was recently added to the Owner Registry page?

In the Spring 2009 issue of Packard International Magazine they are running the PackardInfo.com web banner in the classified section to help get the word out and have offered to keep running in perpetuity. So thanks and salute to them!

Also if you read the article in that issue that covers the 2009 PI Membership Meet, you will find a picture of Russ and his lovely family who received the long distance award, and also there is a picture of my ugly mug that got snuck it there somehow with another reference to the PackardInfo.com website.

Very good news indeed. The "symbiosis" between PackardInfo and PI is a natural, and I'm glad to see that they are helping to make this happen. Congratulations on building a site that gains this kind of respect, and in a phenomenally short time... happy 3rd Anniversary to PackardInfo! May it live long and prosper.
