Rear leaf springs is a project on my list as well. I spoke to our local spring shop last year, which is older than my 53 Cavalier, and they said they could arc my springs for me. Didn't sound like it would be too expensive if I removed them and took them to them.
Do you have a broken one, or is your car just riding low? A spring shop can replace, or add, a leaf as well. The back driver's corner of my car is a bit low, which is what I'm wanting to correct, but otherwise is riding about the right height.

That’s not a spring. THIS is a spring, and it’s on a 1951 Packard!
Anyway, What is the rear end you’re using? As for the spring, as 53 Cavalier said, a local spring shop should be able to help but my experience with them is mixed. My 1954 Patrician always rode low in the rear but after re-arcing, it’s high and rides like a truck. Also, how did you get the drum off without pulling the hub? Did you cut the rivets? These are supposed to be removed as an assembly from the tapered shaft as shown in my photo below and never separated. 1951 Henney-Packard USAF ambulance rear springs are huge! ![]()

Why not just measure the spring length and (somehow) determine the load capacity then buy a common spring of those specs?
Like a double eye, 36", 1500 lb spring.

If Eaton cannot help or does not have anything in your price range and you want to see if you can find something else that might fit, the specs (length, width, load & spring rate) for the 51 200 rear springs are on page 33 in Vol 24 #8 August 1950 issue of the Service Counselor.

I’m putting a ford 8.8 rear end in. The back drum fell off when we took the wheel off. I’ve been having several…. Issues with the rear end for awhile. As for the springs - all of them are broken except the main spring.

Oh oh, I think your car is rejecting the rear-end transplant. It's probably best to put a Packard rear-end back in before it's too late! ![]()

The back drum fell off when we took the wheel off. No matter what kind of rear end, the type with the tapered shaft in my experience always has the drum permanently riveted to the hub so maybe you're staring out with a damaged rear end to begin with. As for springs, check with Gerry at Packard Southwest or Mike at Tucson Packard. Either one can supply good used springs at a reasonable price.
