There are two bolts pass through the body of the master cylinder into the frame rail. One of those bolts also acts as a pivot for the shifter linkage.
Remove the two bolts and the slide the master cylinder down and forward off the pedal push rod. But before you do any of this, you'll need to disconnect the brake swtich wiring and brake lines from the junction block on the front of the master cylinder.

"Step 1" can be ignored. Once you take the 2 bolts out and disconnect the brake lines, just slide off the master cylinder.
P.S. Where are you getting a rebuild kit? Check the parts X ref as you can probably get a whole new one for about the same price as a kit from the major vendors.
