Hi, my ‘39 Super had some parts missing from the steering wheel hub assembly. I have just installed a new steering box so I have the wire going through the shaft to the steering wheel. I’m missing in the hub assembly a metal button that’s soldered to the end of the wire and an insulation donut ring. I do have the brass spider and of course the stainless horn ring. Does anyone know where I can get the insulation donut ring, or something that could substitute and what are the steps for the correct location of the parts. My parts book doesn’t have a diagram to show the placement of the parts.

Been many years, but as I remember for my 1940 cut some sort of foam insulation if that is what you are talking about?

It’s been a few years for me also but I believe there was a ring of foam that went inside the spring?
