Amelia Earhart's Super 8 Coupe alive and well in Oz!

I'm a journalist in Australia who has recently written a main feature piece on my friend, Ross Marshall's 1935 Super 8 Coupe, which we have very good reason to believe was the last car owned by Amelia Earhart before her disappearance in the Pacific. Ross has completed a painstaking restoration of the car, but he and I are now on a mission to prove once and for all that it is the car that Packard presented to her in Dallas, TX in 1935. Our only problem is a lack of official records, as both the Dallas motor vehicle registration records and Packard's own factory records were lost in separate fires, so no documentation proving her ownership of the car exists that we are aware of.
We are hoping that someone, somewhere holds the key to this info, or can point us in the right direction.
All help gratefully accepted and if anyone wants to view the actual feature story on the car, including a theory on the real fate of Amelia Earhart, contact me on my email (chrisbeattie184@gmail.com) and I'll send you through a hi-res copy of the article.
Thanks in advance for your help or comments that might help us in our quest.
Chris BT,
Kingscliff, Australia.
