Did the 4 way power seat allow for a lower seating position than the manual seat? Or only a higher position?

I sat in a 4-way power seat car the other day. The seat goes down such that the rear of the plastic guard on the side stops about ½ in. from the floor (carpet), the same as a manual seat when slid back all the way.

Interesting. My 1954 Patrician also has the 4-way power seat but no plastic bolsters so a bit different experience. Speaking of which, I'm going to need some black plastic bolsters for my 1956 Clipper as I'm adding power seats.
