So this is what the loose rattling one front drivers side looks like:
This is what a NOS unused one looks like before it is installed and squished into place. The car is supposed to have 4, I'm missing 2 of them

Fixed a nagging issue with the passenger door. It was rubbing and the top rear corner. The front gap was even. So it wasn't a henge issue.
So I figured it must be body alignment. So got under the car and loosen the inner and outer body mounts under the B-pillar, and two just forward of the rear fender. With those loose, I used a 2x4 on a floor jack to lift the body from underneath as close to b-pillar as possible and started lifting. Right away I could tell this was the solution. I had to jack it up more than need to give me enough space to slide in the body shim, on the outer b-pillar mount. I think this shim was about 1/8" thick. Back down and now it's looking pretty good. You no longer have to throw your weight against the door to get it to open from the inside.

Even in a field of 750 cars at a large show we were at the 37 always had people around it. I've warned my wife that once its painted it won't have the same oddity factor.
But apparently they liked it:
