Just to record. New diamondBack Radials 700x16AD rubbed front fenders. Loosened all fasteners, adjusted fender position, then tightened up. Took me from 10am til 7:30pm for both sides. I could not make a living as a mechanic, but persistence and, towards the end, a bit of masochism got me through it.

Just so proud of myself today. I changed the oil and filter, glass bowl fuel filter, and air cleaner…WITHOUT BREAKING ANYTHING! I wirebrushed and painted a few rust areas on the frame while I had the car up. Having not hurt myself, I proceeded to install a rear view camera. It was very easy it allowed me to use my old iPhone.
I desperately needed a way to see cars racing up behind me in the freeway. With the top up, I have a very small window and with the top down the folded top sits up a bit high to see everything. I need to be sure no one’s too close behind me when I need to change lanes. I’ll take it on the freeway tomorrow and test it out. The camera is solar powered, but chargeable. It has a remote for turning it on and off. You can take photos and videos by pressing the remote. The technology is pretty slick. It even has those boundary lines at the touch of the remote like the kids have in their cars. All in all, I declared victory for the day.
