I'm not sure but I think it's only C that gets released. The other night be an inside release in case you're inside the trunk and it somehow closes! Incidentally, I have an NOS set with trunk lock assembly and glove box lock assembly factory keyed alike.

Squeeze C in by hand then use a flathead screwdriver to rotate that rectangular slot at the top about 1/2 turn clockwise, then the operation should be obvious.
Pretty much the only failure point on these is that big coil spring which on yours looks fine.
