Don there was no rubber left in my dovetails either, I used black Goop to replace the rubber, has worked well and you know the beating driver's doors take. It is an RTV but is really tough and specific for automotive. I have also used in an under-hood application on my new(er) car and it is still working 10 years later. (Of course, yours in the States will not have any French on it!)

Are your door front different? That group references rear doors.

I always thought the dovetails were 30.442, which is the door, and its corresponding receiver on the door jam.

All four doors are the same and look like what is shown in 30.465 (and my photo)

Bob J - Thanks. The rubber isn’t gone on mine, but it is separating from the metal. The Goop may be what I need to just bond it all together well. I’m also going to call Max Merritt and talk to them. They may be a little more knowledgeable than Steele for the Packard specific applications.
