That looks great. Good thing you have a cover for the Clipper! I imagine that was quite the mess while you were grinding off the paint. Did you use the Contour tool?

Yes, I bought a 40 grit stripping drum for it, and was able to do everything you see there with a single drum.
As the drum wears down, it's constantly exposing fresh media. It just works at a bit of a slower pace then a grinder with a stripping disc. But it is way more gentle. It leaves a great brushed look on panel if you're going in the same direction. I'll probably go over the entire car with an 80grit da to put the right tooth on it for the epoxy primer. But first it will get a wipe down with some metal prep to kill off any rust in the pitted areas and ward off flash rust while I finished stripping the firewall, interior, and rough out any of the remaining body work.

Not sure my my little garage space heater is going to keep up today, especially with that windchill!

Right!
On a positive note, I just went out to the garage, and the humidity is only 15%, which the bare sheet metal appreciates.

Just for comparison, a new stripping drum, vs the one I used to strip pretty much the entire outside of the body tub. The inner yellow part is the same diameter on both. Just the photo angle makes it look different.

It works really well and it doesn't gouge the metal. It works a little bit slower, but leaves a beautiful surface on the metal. The drums are about $25 each. But, they last and last compared to sandpaper or stripping discs.
HF and Amazon sell drums of different grits. Also HF has their own knockoff version of the tool that gets good reviews. The only areas I had to be gentle near was where all the lead filler was, as it will eat into that. But anything that mechanical removes rust and paint will anyway.
