The nice, new trunk coating should help it go a little faster too!

Ernie, curious about your Model A. Does it get out as often as the Packard? I know this is a Packard site, but maybe a few words from time to time on your Model A adventures would be interesting to read about. Are you familiar with Paul Shinn? He has many videos on the care and feeding of Model As on YouTube.

Nice trip here in Switzerland, after finishing restoration. Not completely reliable but will find last little problems soon I hope.
Thanks to all the people that helped me directly or indirectly on this forum to achieve the rebirth of this gem!

That is a handsome car. I'm glad you have it operational. I have an older Packard that I don't fully trust yet, either. i hope with more driving and more fiddling, I will get it to the point it and I trust each other fully. Thanks for posting.

Good Morning...I've been driving Miss Prudence for 12 years around the Valley of the Sun in Arizona. She is a 1949 23rd series and is great fun to take to breakfast and most of my trips to stores in the colder months. In the summer, I'm up about 5am to give her some weekly exercise. Were both comfortable up to about 95 degrees. After that, she goes back in the garage about 6am. She has 53,000 miles that I think are original. Occasionally she makes a 100 mile round trip...but that's it. Breakfast this morning, and a lady just walked up to her and took several photographs...I just watched from my seat in the coffee shop Over Easy. Ernie in Arizona

Good Afternoon All...Prudence and I drove over to Albertsons Super Market in Scottsdale, Arizona this morning so I could pick up a few things. Taking care of my 50 year old daughter this week...She had to have emergency Apendix Surgery Sunday Night/Monday Morning. Anyway...We pulled into the parking lot which is on a slight slant and as I came around the end of Prudence, I was surprised by a run away shopping cart that banged into her rear bumper...Prudence is not perfect...so no big deal, and I managed to grab the cart before it bounced into Prudence again...seems an older lady, about my age, had let go of it, and it escaped, and ran off down the parking lot...I just smiled and handed the cart back to the lady who seemed to want it. She apologized...I just pointed out to her, that she and I and Prudence are more or less the same age and have rinkles and battle scars...tipped my hat and headed into the store...anyway the experience caused me to chuckle a bit...so I thought I'd pass it along. One might also see David Packard's 48 in the same lot from time to time...Ernie in Arizona

Way to go, Ernie! Your calm, noblesse oblige response to what would be a nightmare for the typical antique car buff is just so befitting of a Packard owner, n'est-ce pas? I hope your daughter heals quickly and that she realizes what a great Dad she has.
