I have a 1928 6 cyl and need to adjust the valve tappet spacing. Can anyone point me to a guide that will tell me how many thousands of an inch I should have for the intake and exhaust valves? I think they should be .007 (in) & .010 (out) I will also add .002 as they will be measured cold.

1929 manual gives .004 or greater, when hot. Page 129

I suspect that any greater measurement that permits silent operation would be acceptable.
