Keep up the great work. Everything you're doing is well outside of my experience/abilities, but I am really enjoying seeing how you are doing things and the progress. It looks great!

Thank you! This is well outside of my experience/ability as well, but getting it figured out. It's a learn as you go project, which happens frequently with my Packard.

Really looking good. The small amount of welding I've done has been on the floor, so I didn't have to worry so much about heat warping (small patches). Lots of tedious work to do small tacks over and over again.

Welding the fenders is pretty much done.

Got started on the wheelhouse patch for the passenger side. LOTS of cutting and trimming to get it to the right size and shape. It's going to be awkward to weld these in, but at least they don't need to look pretty.

I picked up these welding blankets to protect my interior. I was using cardboard, but that's crazy!

Thank you! This is my first project, so I'm learning as I go! Once I'm done the wheelhouse patches everything else should be relatively simple. Fingers crossed!

Looking good!
If those are the blankets from princess auto, be wary. They will burn from hot sparks, grinding sparks should be fine

I got these blankets off Amazon.a.co/d/bQhPYlh They seem to be okay, but I might test them just to make sure.

Princess Auto has welding blankets that burn?!?! Why am I not surprised!

Forming some of the fender/trunk pan supports.

I wasn't happy with the first filler neck guard (left) so I made some changes and made another.

This was a fun little project, and something new. I'm ALWAYS learning something new in order to take care of my Cavalier.

You've apparently watched the same videos on YouTube as I have. I remember watching that exact process to make channels within panels. I was impressed with how well the panels turned out that the guy made. Yours looks awesome.
