Well, about $1000 in today's money for a front windshield...

Wouldn't make me too happy.

Shop update:

I figured I could do a bit of a shop tour and show some of our new equipment.

First, as you walk in you enter our spacious and comfortable reception area with plenty of back issues of The Cormorant newsletter, Hagerty, etc.

Then in the shop, here is some of our recently installed equipment:

We have a 35-ton press at left. It is demonstrating a common service operation, installing a new converter pump shaft bushing into a Twin-Ultra bell housing. Note that this particular use case is easily 34 tons under capacity.

In the middle is a parts washer with a supply of PSC 1000 from Tractor Supply.

At right is a new sand blaster with glass beads. This is less useful for transmission parts as you don't want glass getting in them, but is very useful for other things. I have an air regulator and metering valve for it, awaiting installation.

Also present is my engine stand (red) and transmission stand (blue). It's most common to assemble the transmissions upside down while bolted to a stand, and nothing special is necessary except extra-long bolts.

Looks great. Love the flooring in both the office area and the shop area.

The regulator and metering valve for the blast cabinet make all the difference. It'll work so much better.

Looking great! Just needs a 374 block - glass top coffee table to hold all those Cormorant magazines!

It looks like my bead blast cabinet and solvent tank but the press is certainly heavier! Mine is 10 tons and looked normal in photos but was physically tiny when it arrived although so far it's done the job. I'm jealous, though, of how neat and tidy everything is in your shop and great flooring too.

I'm very appreciative of everyone's compliments, thanks. 😊

Don, 10 tons is great, but if you want to rebuild water pumps, you need the 35 ton. 🤣

Kevin, a 374 block table is not a bad idea except it would kill the floors. 😫
