I don’t know about Montana but you would never be able to register it in California!

That would get registered in WA with zero questions asked. Not once have they looked at any of my cars ever, for any reason. Present proper paperwork and signatures, pay the fees, walk out with registration in hand, then title arrives within a couple weeks. Done.

Washington must have changed as they gave me no end of grief when I lived there in the ‘60s. They wanted to stamp a custom number on my 1939 Packard’s frame but I refused and in the end got my title but it sure took a long time.

Bringing you more FB Marketplace Packards.

1949 Station Sedan. Very rough unrestored. All of the wood is either missing or badly rotted and the interior is just about totally gone. Comes with a 23rd Series sedan parts car which I think is a Standard Eight. You will need very deep pockets to tackle this project. Seller asking $4,500. Alabama:

1951 200 Deluxe Sedan. Abandoned restoration project. Body and paint done. Needs complete interior, glass, chrome and final assembly. I see what looks like wrapped bumpers inside the car, so perhaps these were rechromed but the grille is in the trunk and still needs to be done. Seller asking $3,250. South Carolina:

1941 110 Sedan. Ratrod project, has Chevy V8 but seller has original engine. Body has a lot of surface rust but very little rustout. Asking $2.500. Tennessee:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/7200332413346114

1956 Caribbean. Partially completed frame off restoration. Ad claims 75% complete. Body and paint work done, still needs top, interior, tires and final assembly. Color Scheme is MKN (Dover White, Scottish Heather, Maltese Grey). Most chrome is off the car. See stuff in boxes in the trunk and inside the car but can't really tell what's there. Asking $45,000. Pennsylvania.

Just fyi, the 1956 Caribbean appears to be 5699-1197 which was originally VMV (Corsican Black, Dover White, Corsican Black) from the factory.

Best regards.

Shocking that anyone would stray from the distinctive VMV paint job.

And that 51 200 is quite attractive...

Kip56: You are correct. I blew up the photo of the data plate and it is showing VMV for the paint code which is Corsican Black/Dover White/Corsican Black. Think the car should have been restored in these colors as the effect is quite striking and there are very few surviving Caribbeans in black. I don't recall ever seeing one in person.

Couple new postings:

1955 Patrician. All original unrestored from apparent long term indoor storage. Dover White over Mojave Tan Metallic (Paint Code MR). Covered in dust and dirt but looks relatively solid and complete. Hard hit to left front; will probably require a new fender to fix properly. Grille damaged, but I see a replacement in the parts pile which goes with the car. Interior actually looks pretty nice. Car is definitely doable. Asking only $2,200. Probably worth more than that just in parts. Texas.

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1049618687010139

1953 Clipper Club Sedan. Base model Clipper. Rough unrestored but looks complete. Most trim has been removed from car. Body looks pretty solid but do see some rust out in lower rear quarter panel between the door and the wheel well - commonly rusted area on the Packard two door models. Has a nice accessory sun visor. Asking $2,500. Texas

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1334091437836196

1951 200 Deluxe Sedan. Older 1980's restoration. Car looks good and runs well but has incorrect two-tone paint job and interior was redone in a modern velour fabric. Ad states car was formerly used as a shuttle vehicle by a bed & breakfast in Oregon. Asking $9,900. McComb, MS:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1143386360601370

1936 Senior Series sedan. Not sure of model. Super Eight? Ad states it is a 120 but obviously it isn't. Older resto in an incorrect color scheme (light yellow over chocolate brown - yuk). Has wire wheels and dual side mounts. Not currently running and needs work. Asking $30K. Albuquerque, NM:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1199622168354446

1937 120 Touring Sedan. Beautiful well-preserved original car. Looks very sharp in solid black. Ad states 39K original and certainly looks it. Clean, running driving car which needs little if anything. Asking $25K. Think this is a very good price for a car of this caliber. Carson City, NV:

The 55, above, looks interesting. I am curious to see what's with the floors, though.

Here is one more: 1956 400 for 18kfacebook.com/marketplace/item/1365278204852643
Looks very promising, from afar, so I sent the seller some questions and he never replied :(
