Good Morning all...JWL was asking about our Model A Ford a bit ago...so I'll pass on a little bit of information...even tho this is a Packard site...Miss Princess shares a garage with a 2016 Jeep Patroit and, of course, a well loved 49 Packard. Miss Princess is an early 31 Tudor, restored in the mid 70's by Arthur Revier, someplace in Ohio, I believe. We've had her 20 years and she is used about as much as Prudence is used. Her paint and upholstery are from the 70's and still look less than five years old. We have rebuilt the engine, added a Mitchell overdrive, and an alternator. She runs well and has made some fairly long trips with the Model A Restorer's Club of Arizona. The longest one was 734 miles over to New Mexico and back some years ago. She is almost 20 years older than Prudence and the difference between the two is remarkable. Prudence is almost a modern car and Princess teters on the hairy edge of ancient! She shows attitude when I memtion such thoughts to her. I tell my daughters and grand daughters that both old girls will be in the garage the day after I am gone and I expect them to be kept and loved. My olderst Granddaughter, Tara Katherine, is a Junior at McPherson College in Kansas, majoring in Automotive Restoration. I suspect Princess will end up with her, and Prudence will end up with my Daughter, Alanna and stay in Arizona...Ernie in Arizona
