I thought the rod bearing was the "little end" and the main bearing was the "big end"??

I am just printing what I have if anything isn't correct I have no problem with making corrections in the list.

Yes the "big end" refers to the main crankshaft end of a connecting rod.

The one that really gets me is "ROCKER PANEL" what IS that ? - also inner and outer rocker panel - could it possibly be "WING" ?

To be pedantic in the UK we spell it Glossary is "ery" correct in US/Canada ?

Lastly and completely off the subject could someone please post a photo of the 22nd Series Sedan door opening sills front and rear ? I think someone put extra metal in this area on my car and I need corroboration.

the "ery" is a typo - the spelling is the same

wing = fender
drophead = convertible
earth = ground
dickey seat = rumble seat
lucas electronics = darkness
scuttle = cowl

a rocker panel is the part of the car body between the wheel openings and below the doors. I think this is the sill in British. The American usage of sill refers only to the visible portion when the door is open

Great idea for a thread! I'm American, but I've lived overseas for many years and usually read British classic car magazines since they're much easier to find than American ones. Some of them, such as Classic & Sports Car, are excellent.

to PackardInfo and for including your '54 Henney Junior ambulance in the Owner Registry. But this raises a question, if your Packard is a '54 why the Forum Name "prodigal55"? Just curious.
