On the contrary, the nuts to remove the manifolds are not all easy. There are a few that aren't too bad, but there are several (especially next to the center) that are borderline evil. Tedious at best.
Spray penetrating fluid on all the nuts several times over the course of days. That should help prevent breaking a stud.

You can also soak a rag with Evapo Rust and wrap it around the stud. Leave a few days. That plus oil or heat as needed.

I see best gasket makes intake/exhaust manifold gaskets for this engine, has anyone used them before? Just was curious if they were any good before I order some.

Best Gasket makes them but they sell only through authorized distributors. I buy all my gaskets through Olson’s Gaskets, a family owned business and Best distributor and have supplied them with many patterns to help enhance their portfolio. What Olson’s can’t get, they can make.
