1955 400. Nice clean car which appears to need very little if anything. Paint, chrome and interior all look excellent. Fire Opal over White Jade (Color Scheme JM). Asking $24K. Bloomfield, CT which is not too far from where I live. Really like this one:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/992650796318562

. . . .

1956 400. Appears to be a really nice survivor car. See plastic over the original seats. Exceptionally well preserved. Paint and chrome look very nice also. Car is in El Paso, TX but has California plates. Dover White over Scottish Heather. Ad states car is running. Seller asking $18K.

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1365278204852643

The 1955 is probably a repaint? Or is water giving it some extra shine? The price might also be a bit on the high side.
The 1956 - I was unable to get any information from the seller, what so ever, including where the car is currently located (because it is not where the listing is). Not sure what the deal is, here. It was listed for a while, now, and no takers. Maybe he does not even have a car?

I bet these are just copy cats. Flippers/scammers probably started doing this so that you cannot readily identify the car (for "valid" reasons, such as stolen pictures or mark-up listing etc.) and everyone else followed the herd because, apparently, "everyone is doing this"...

The Onieda hoard I have thought about going to, but really how much more stuff can I use...? Especially when Mike Dulinski is slowly liquidating his stockpile.

The 56 I also never got a response back. The pictures seem a bit odd to me.

Can't stop posting Packards that I find for sale online! Here are a few new ones. On May 2, 1949, Packard introduced the 23rd "Golden Anniversary" series, so we are just past the 76th anniversary. To celebrate, these postings are all 23rd series cars:

1949 Club Sedan. Abandoned restoration project being sold by an estate. In primer. Body looks solid and car is complete. Some trim has been removed. Asking $3,800. Wallingford, CT:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1255876115971803

1950 Standard Eight sedan. Not running. Head is off engine. Needs full restoration but body does look very straight and complete. Dash is nice and parts of interior may be useable. Has accessory sunvisor. Asking $3K. Maryland:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1868726550599531

1949 (23rd Series) Club Sedan. Rough project car or parts. Think it is a Standard Eight. See quite a bit of rust. Appears rocker on driver's side is about completely gone and interior is totally trashed. Some side trim is damaged or missing. Maybe a street rod project? Seller asking $2,500. Indiana:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1204859137998196

1949 (23rd Series) Sedan. Stripped out body shell. Might be some good cut out sections, but that's about it. Somebody stripped this for another project. Asking $600. Ohio:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/271330136040253

1950 Sedan. Either a Standard or Deluxe. Repainted a horrible color blue, looks like it is an old Earl Schreib job as I seem to recall them using a color like this for their bargain specials. Runs but needs a lot. Asking $5K. Florida:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/921428822795216/

1950 Standard Eight sedan. Looks pretty good. Useable original interior and decent chrome. Body looks solid but poor quality repaint looks faded and deteriorated. Ad states car runs and stops. Asking $4,800. Virginia:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/9693195614105965

1949 (23rd Series) Deluxe Eight Club Sedan. Restored car which runs and drives great. Was restored in 1985 with new black paint, chrome and interior. Has been owned by the same individual for the past 50 years. Looks beautiful but interior was done in modern fabric and does not look quite correct. A nice driver. Asking $27K. Nashville, TN:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/9122050521234501

1950 Custom Eight Sedan. Very solid Western body. Needs paint and interior work. Ad states engine is free. Chrome looks pretty good actually. Has Ultramatic Drive and original script Packard spotlight and backup lights. Original jack, spare and service manuals included. The manuals are factory originals and not reprints. Asking $5,500. Colorado:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/2462646430743781/

1950 Standard Eight Sedan. Very original survivor car with original maroon paint and interior. Dash and chrome look very nice. Ad stated compression is low in two cylinders, so it will need a rebuild. Think this is a very fair deal at the asking price of only $3,500. Granby, TX.

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1469502701100224

1949 (23rd Series) Standard Eight. Very nice original survivor car except for paint. Car was repainted light cream, but ad states original gold paint is still visible on the fire wall and under rubber mouldings. This must be one of the Golden Anniversary cars used in the driveaway promotion in 1949. Asking $13,500. Ravenna, TX:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1053989210090132

1950 Sedan (Not sure of model). Abandoned and rusty field hen. Asking $900. Seller also has a 1951 Nash sedan in similar condition for $1,500. Think it is a Statesman model. Hannibal, MO:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/740993317387338

1949 (23rd Series) Deluxe Eight Sedan. Clean car. Redone interior looks good, but not quite correct. Decent looking paint and chrome. Runs and drives. Has accessory sun visor. Asking $4,500. Arizona. Seems like a good deal. You could do much worse for this kind of money. Arizona:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/644146938601435

1950 Sedan. Pretty sure it is a Super Eight as it has the Senior taillight lenses and the longer hood of the senior models. Very solid car. Has been in storage since 2008 and is not running. Asking $10K. Idaho:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1930089980855211

and one more:

1948 22nd Series Deluxe Eight Sedan (Model No. 2262) that at some point had the 23rd Series side trim added. Very beautiful survivor car with original paint (Light Grey) and interior. Seller has original paperwork on the car including the original bill of sale. Car was sold by the Packard-Louisville Motor Co. of Louisville, KY on September 30, 1948, to a Mrs. Grace G. Coleman. Mrs. Coleman paid $2,887.19 for her Packard and it included a Deluxe Radio, heater and defroster, and foam rubber seat cushions; a $20 option. Odometer now showing 63,826. Asking $12,500. Roanoke, VA:

Some new postings to share today.

1935 120 Sedan. This is the model with the flat trunk. Ad states car runs and drives. Great looking original car. Odo showing about 77K miles. Super straight body. Paint does look a bit dull. Undercarriage looks original but clean. Even has an original radio. No shots of seats so can't tell what they are like. But at $13,500, I think this car could be a super bargain. New York:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/570253772763369

1956 Clipper Hardtop. Think this is a Super Panama. Abandoned restoration project. Car was partially dismantled in preparation for new paint, but project was never completed. Looks like car may have been repainted and then deteriorated somewhat due to poor storage. Actually, does not look too bad. All chrome looks very nice. Needs interior. Think this car is well worth putting some time and effort into. Very pretty white over turquoise color scheme (Dover White over Aegean Blue - Scheme MG). Asking $4,500. Connecticut. This car is about 20 minutes from my house.

facebook.com/marketplace/item/2434586896919006

1931 833 Convertible Coupe. Complete frame off restoration looks stunning. Chrome wires and wide whites. Burgundy body with black fenders and red leather interior. Has dual mounts. Gorgeous Packard. Asking $140K. Don't think that too many of us on this forum can afford something like this, but we can dream, can't we? North Carolina:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/664608373045102

1951 200 Standard Sedan. Base model Packard. Has Ultramatic drive. Really good original car. Ad states original paint and interior and odo showing 44k mile. Interior looks decent. Chrome all looks good. See some minor bubbling above fender skirts but body looks good otherwise. Ad also states that car has been in climate-controlled storage for past 20 years and is not currently running, but engine is free. Think this car would make a good driver. Has wide whites and a cormorant hood ornament. No asking price listed. Pennsylvania:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1791858424714878

1929 633 Runabout. Older restoration with light tan body and chocolate fenders (bet it was done in the 1970's) with orange wire wheels. Dual side mounts. Has Trippe lights, grille guard and Goddess radiator ornament. Looks and runs well. Seller reducing car collection. Asking $69,500. Prices for early Packards seem to be declining significantly; cars like this used to be listed at over $100K not that many years ago. This does look like a really good one. Oklahoma:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1862728564295553

1941 Henney Ambulance. Seller claims it is ex-U.S. Army. White with dual side mounts. Fully restored and does not appear to need anything significant. Seller asking $30K. Colorado:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1328102961601502

1955 Clipper Custom Sedan. Original car but somewhat rusty and does not run. Seller did quite a bit of work on the car, including a new gas tank, but could not get it running and gave up. Thinks starter is shot. He only wants $500, and it should be well worth that in parts alone. Oregon:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1020394320182127

1952 Henney Hearse. Rough unrestored but body looks very straight. Has stick shift. Might be a good project for Packard Don. Asking $9,995. Reno, NV:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1036299591164395

These cars were on Craigslist.

1936 120 Art Carved Hearse by A.J. Miller Company. Partially completed restoration of an exceptionally rare vehicle. Much work has been done including body work and chrome. Body is now in primer. Original carved wood panels had rotted, and replacements were fabricated in fiberglass. Engine was rebuilt. Long way to go on this one but it will be an impressive vehicle when completed. Asking $29K. Cincinnati, OH:

cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/d/ionia-19 ... rd-120-carved-panel/7849750700.html

1956 400. Solid original car but will require cosmetic restoration. Ad states "nice patina". Sure, if you are ok with rust and dents. But not too bad, actually. Needs paint and probably some chrome. New interior not installed. New wide white tires. Engine runs but needs brake and transmission work. Asking $6,200. Arizona.

phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/d/payson-1956-packard-400/7849562044.html

1948 Super Eight Convertible Victoria. Looks like original paint (French Blue). Interior redone, but not correct. Looks like a very good car otherwise. Has been in a museum since 2011. To be sold at auction on May 31, 2025, at the LeMay Marymount Event Center in Tacoma, WA. Spring Classic Auto Auction:

The 1956 Clipper says Super on the dash so it's a Panama. On the Henney, it looks nice but much not proper on the interior. For example, these never had carpet. Should be linoleum.

There is another Packard being auctioned off at the LeMay Center in WA. 1948 Eight woodie. Condition isn't terrible from what I can see. Not sure I love the woodie look on these years. Kind of seems like an afterthought to me.
