Last week the car developed a poor idle and would also stall, I could not reliability adjust the mixture, Then I removed both mixture screws and blew out both Idle bypass air bleeds and the air bleed holes were open. Then started the engine and adjusted both idle adjustment screws. The best Idle RPM I could obtain was 550, which was above my prior RPM of 450. When I test drove the car I would get slight hesitation. The car is hitting on all cylinders and has plenty of power. Definitely have an Idle circuit problem does anyone have a suggestion of what to do next?

When I tried to reduce the idle RPM the engine would just stall? like I mentioned the best idle I can obtain is 550

I would check for vacuum leak around intake manifold and carb base. Poor Idle can also be caused by bad or improperly gaped points. Check those next.

Yes, I wes also thinking that, What I always do is make sure my intake/exhaust manifold nuts are tight at least once a year, and did this last week, today I will spray around the intake and carbuator base, also check for vaccum leaks, thinking about this had to use my wipers recently and have a feeling that may be the reason for a vacuum leak if I have one. GREAT suggestion and thank you

Disconnect and plug the wiper vacuum source at the intake manifold. If your distributor has a vacuum advance, it's possible the diaphragm is leaking air.
