I'm getting this out a little early. Once my car is done at the shop, I will have six used Firestone 7.00x16 tires for sale. These tires only have about 1000 miles on them, but they are 20+ years old. My dad bought them from Coker in 2004.

I am replacing them on my car for two reasons. First, they are 20+ years old. Second, the hard covers for the spares do not fit these tires. I have new 7.00x16 BF Goodrich tires (also from Coker) that will go on my car and do work well with the hard covers for the spares.

Anyway, the tires for sale would certainly be good for use while restoring a car.

I'm in the Kansas City area and could easily get them to anyone who may be attending the National Packard Club meet in KC in June.

FWIW, I ran a set of 23 year old Lester 7.00 x 16 tires for a little over 12,000 miles with no age related issues. That included some rather aggressive crushed rock miles. These tires were on a car that spent most of that period of time in indoor storage.

These tires have spent 100% of their time on the car and in a garage…except for the 1000 miles of driving, of course.

A friend of mine drives his 56 Fairlane on tires from the 80's. Now, it's only a cruiser, but the tires themselves look pretty sharp still. Probably because the car has stayed on the road every year a few hundred miles.

Yep, these are good tires for someone who needs them. I’m putting the BF Goodrich tires on for the reasons I mentioned. Hopefully the Firestones can help someone out.

I’m asking $500 for the set of six tires. All are in very good shape. They are 20 years old, but drive nice and only have about 1000 miles on them.

Four are currently on my car while the body work etc.. is getting done. My car likely won’t be done until the end of June. But, if you will be coming to KC for the national Packard Club meet, I can make sure and have my new tires mounted and get them to you in KC.

I'm bumping this. These tires are 20 years old, but are in very good condition. At a minimum, they would be great for interim tires on a project car. I previously mentioned $500 for the set of six tires. I won't turn down any reasonable offers.

Also, I'll ship them at buyer's expense.

If they don't sell by then, haul them to Hershey.

I put about 13,000 miles on a set of Lester 7.00 X 16 tires that were over 22 years old when I got the car. They had been on the car and keep indoors. I had no age-related issues with them.
