What is the listed size of the rear? I can only assume the front U-joint is the same as the rear. I do not have the trunion type joint at the front of the shaft since I am running the 3 speed manual over drive and not the twin ultramatic.

I think I have a new rear U joint lying around. Not sure what it is for, though. It's probably a Senior Ultramatic type.

55.56 junior cross are smaller
Dodge used the trunnion . Which if still made. Would fit the juniors. If the splines are the same. Someone have the specs. I can look to see what would fit.

if you can find the specs on the U joints for a manual senior car that would be great! Over the weekend, I changed out the brake shoes due to the issue I had on the Caribbean. So now I am just waiting for the weather to turn nice to get the car out again.

Still didn’t get a chance to try the brakes out on this car. Not to happy with them on the Caribbean. But hopefully this weekend I’ll give it a go.
Which brings me to a concern. On another manual transmission car I have some shifting and clutch chattering issues, which I believe are from me not aligning the bell housing properly. When I installed the trans into this car I didn’t align the bell housing. I know on some cars you can get offset dowels to help keep the input shaft of the trans inline with the crank shaft center. Can you get those offset dowels for Packard? Does anyone know the diameter and length of the dowels used?
