The Packard Decoder on this site says it's a 327 5-main for 1953. The H at the end has a meaning too but I don't have that chart with me but you decode it with or without those additional codes.

This particular engine was from either a Clipper Deluxe or commercial chassis and for the latter, probably the 2613 as I believe the 2633 Henney Junior had the 288.

My 53 Cavalier has L413848, but no letter at the end.

According to the serial number list, the 53 engines designated with L2 and L3 at the start of the motor number were the lower end 5 main 288 and 327 blocks normally equipped with solid lifters in the models they were sold in. Hydraulic lifters could be installed as a factory option and per bulletin 50T-53, 51 and later engines that were equipped with the optional hydraulic lifters had the H suffix. While the engine in the 53 Cavalier is also a 5 main 327 block, that model's engine had hydraulic lifters as factory standard and was designated as L4 so there is no H suffix needed.
