Back from Memphis. 1 more day of work, and then 8 glorious days of vacation. Website all backed up, and preparing to engage auto-pilot.
While I was in Memphis my friends took me down to Casino in Mississippi which had a Paula Dean buffet in it. Every time I hear her name this comes to mind: "Take one stick of butter, and mix with another stick of butter, then deep-fry and cover with country gravy. Serve."

Had a most pleasant suprise here in New Jersey yesterday, an email and subsequent phone call from Big Kev who was on business only about 20 miles away. After his work he found his way to Cresskill where we spent several enjoyable hours with several other local Packard folk and their cars, followed by a pleasant dinner at the local pub.

Dave, I appreciate the hospitality, and for you arranging the gathering of wonderful Packard folks and cars that came out to meet me. It was nice to ride to dinner in a very nice '54 Cavalier, and back in a equally nice '56.
Thanks for the tour of your '56 Carib, and your '34, and also a peek at your "parts dungeon". I hope to get back Northern Jersey soon, and next time dinner is on me!
