G'day Ben,
A formal to PackardInfo, it was good chatting with you earlier in the Chatroom and I'm pleased you were able to post your request here. Now it just remains for all the experts to jump on board and answer your query.

Hint, guys - In the Chatroom I told Ben he should get lots of advice here, so jump in to save what little reputation I have left.

Speaking of reputation, I also told Ben there's be a payback for directing him here. And it's this Ben, I greet every PackardInfo members first post with a welcome, which I've now done, and a request. And the request is this - could you please include your '37 1502 in the Owner Registry here, together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it?

Ben,

Looks like I found an answer, all 1502's are 139" wheelbase there were no 144". Only 144" wheelbase cars are the 1508 Twelves. Refer to the 1937 Factory Brochure in the Packard Literature and Manuals section -packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/1937_Factory_Brochure.pdf - there's a couple of great tables there which include wheelbases by model.

But as I said in my earlier post - all you PackardInfo guys, your answers are very welcome, and no doubt you'll keep me honest.

I guess I don't understand your question, as previously noted by Mal the 1502 was only available in a single wheelbase, 139".

Try browsing the last page of the 37/38 shop manual which may be available on this website - it shows the body space for each of the models. Body space for a 1502 is 100-3/4", same as the 1508.

Perhaps you were looking in the Condensed Shop Manual, the info is in the full manual. Also if you can locate the 1937 Salesman's Data Book, it should give full major dimensions for all bodies.
