Dave, thanks - I'll give Merit a try. Where did you get your generator-water pump belt? The one that was on the car when I bought it was so short I had to cut it to get it off. NAPA had one the proper width, but not in length (NBH 25-390537). I am using one of theirs but it is 3/4" wide instead of the 7/8" correct size (NBH 25-28522). John Ulrich lists them, but they are expensive. Any suggestions?

Northwestern Auto in Grand Rapids, MI got me the upper for my 41 non-Clipper, reasonably priced, earlier in the year. Their number is 616-241-5611. If there's a logistics problem with their shipping it , let me know and I can pick it up at lunch and mail it to you

John, I bought my fan belt at NAPA. It is a Gates brand #TR30537 Green Stripe 22A1365
7/8" outside width and 5/8" inside width. Max M. has a belt as well for $75 and it looks like the same Gates Green Stripe version.

Dave, I'll ping on the NAPA online site and see what they show. I ordered the curved top and straight bottom radiator hoses from Max Meritt per your suggestion.

John I found that the Gates website lists the belt under part #TR30537 but neither # showed up on the NAPA site?

My local Kragen/Oreilly has that Gates part number for $32.99 according to the their website.
Also it shows that belt as being for a 58/59 GM Truck.

Also the search on Napaonline/PartsProSe shows this as the Napa equivalant to that Gates part-number NBH 2530537, $27.99

Kev and Dave, thanks. I will check with NAPA and O'Rilley's today and post my results. If I am successful in finding the belt I will post the numbers and source on the Packard Parts X-Ref section. I have had good luck with NAPA in the past, but lately I am finding O'Rilley's to be a better source for parts. Both have helpful counter people. I used to be able to decode the Gates belt and hose numbers, but not any more.
