In my search for the elusive 9 main 327, I came across these:

I have more pics, and will post them if requested. All these cars are for sale, I don't know how for how much, but I can get prices for interested parties.

One more item: Just an innocent '48 Ford truck, right?

Look closely at the hood ornament, It's a '53 Clipper ornament, hinting at what powers it:

Eric,

It might be just me, and I'm on my brothers laptop at the moment, but I can't get any of he pic's to open. I will try again when I get home tonight to eliminate the laptop factor.

Funny, they work fine for me. Let me do a little investigating.

Edit: All the pics are here:public.fotki.com/turbopackman/packards/img0725.html

Just keep hitting the "Next" button to see them all.
See if you can view them now, and let me know please.

Eric,

Looks like we're back in business. Like the early fifties coupe/hardtop. What are the "ornaments" on the rear fenders?

I did, it was a '49 Commodore 6 sedan, turned pickup. It had a 429 Ford, C6 trans, and a 1996 Cougar independent rear. It would smoke tires like no tomorrow! That's me behind the wheel!

Those "ornaments" on the rear fenders are Bathtub Packard hood ornaments. I'm seriously considering buying this car, especially since when I called the guy who owns it a little bit ago said it runs and drives. But he hasn't started it in a while. It DOES have a 327 in it, but not a 9 main. It would be a good start, even if it's not a Bathtub coupe. The price will definitely be cheaper than all I've found so far, and it's a heck of a lot closer.

Eric,

Thought so, just didn't want to comment in case they weren't.

If you can't get a bathtub coupe, as I said, I like the look of these.
