Capone was in jail from 1932 to 1939. Why would he buy a 34?

And I rather doubt he would have bought an Eight, more likely a Twelve. But from what I've read he was a rather devout Cadillac man.

Hi
Capone was imprisoned from May 1932 to November 1939: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Capone Must be he was the only one who could buy and register a car for his wife to use? One would think the seller might check salient facts of the owner's history before making such claims in order to sell the car. Questionable ownership aside, looks like a nice older restoration or preserved original someone could enjoy. Steve

Wasn't there another mid 30's Packard -- in very poor condition and I believe high asking price -- on ebay in the last year or so that was also supposedly his. For a Cadillac man, he does seem to attract a lot Packards to his name.

Yes, I seem to recall that. A rusting carcass of a 120 closed car as I remember.

Phils38cpe, thanks for the reminder about the Collings Collection. Were you a participant in the PAC National in Danvers in 2005? If so you no doubt recall our visit and tour there, both the car and vintage aircraft collections stand out in my mind yet. And how many of us have a landing strip in our yard?

Irrespective of the doubtful Al Capone connection if in fact it was owned by Marty Robbins would be enough for me. But $700K?
