A few more interim upholstery photos. It's coming slow but it is coming. With less than 2 weeks to go I am officially bowing out of the Nats.

AL,

Looks like the seats are shaping up nicely. They've always looked to me like a hard design to get looking right, and I've seen a few that really miss the mark. This looks like all the material is correct, and being put together with care. Thanks for the update.

Just a brief update: Not much to report. The carpeting is in. He was able to use the back half of the carpet set I had, but for some reason the front portion was to narrow. It was marked Packard from Kanter but do not know for what year. I am trying to light a fire under the guy to complete the project but we shall have to wait and see.

Neil Porter sells bulk exact repro carpet material for the 56 Packards, and Dwight Heinmuller sells kits made from the same material. Not sure if it's available only for the seniors, or also for Clippers, you'd have to ask one or both of them.

A premade kit I bought from Bill Hirsch some years ago was a perfect fit in my 56 convertible, and a very close match for color and texture. And quite inexpensive to boot.

Well the back seats are in and now that remains are the front door panals. Maybe it will be home in time for santa
to put it under the christmas tree.

Gee, AL, put me on your Christmas list!

Noticing the steering wheel center, did the Exec have a unique ornament? The shape of the center button looks Clipper, but the wheel itself looks Senior.

Care to share a pic?

I have the center emblem piece. I will have to locate it, but I believe it is Clipper. Will get pics as soon as I can.

AL,

I forgot that what you actually have there is a Clipper. Sure doesn't look like one!

It would naturally have the "ship's wheel" button. But, that reminds me, what did they use on the Executive? Standard Senior wheel, I suppose.

the button is a clipper. But I guess I could use the senior one if I wanted to.
