John,
Read about this one on the Route 66 chronicles. Great picture's on there site of the interior-no throttle pedal and extra gauges on the dash.Looks to be a 39 or 40 ? senior with that grill.Nice to see That Packard was working on alternitive fuel vehhicles almost 70 years ago ! Possibly due to gas rationing during the war?

Great pictures!
I like steam, and love Packards! Best of both worlds. Looks to be a 1940. Jim

The story I posted about a steam powered Packard prototype is a BUNCH OF CLAPP TRAP AND A HOAX. What I printed was intended to be a an April Fools Day Prank.
Thanks Mal for posting the link to the true story and the source of the pictures I posted. John F. Shireman

I was kind'a wondering about that being FACTORY. If u look at the first pic the car is parked on what appears to be a wooden floor. NOT what i would expect of a factory environment. The doors in the background seem a bit peculiar too.
