Prior to WWII, 'rolling yer own' was most popular. I'm wondering if there was any kind of dash mounted accessory to roll a cigarette available at the time or maybe a cigarette dispenser of some type like a tissue dispenser of the 50's.

Not a lighter, but cigarette related.

My dad had a gizmo installed in his 51 Packard 200 that consisted of a large glass jar mounted on the firewall, an ash receiver mounted under the dash and related hoses. If you were smoking and wanted your knock the ashes off your ciggie, rather than use the ashtray, you stuck the burnt end into the underdash receiver and toggled the connected switch. The engine vacuum sucked the ashes into the glass jar. It was less messy than an ashtray and certainly "high tech".

Never heard of automatic cig roller for cars but there were small pocket devices and larger home ones.

How about a cigarette dispenser that lights them for you?

Ford Presalite, this must be from the 50s Henry Ford would never have allowed it while he was alive.

A word of safety caution to the 28 Buick owner and others with the corded cigarette lighter:
When offering a lite to passengers in vehicle be sure to tell them that it IS a cigarette LIGHTER and not a hose with a mouth piece.

Never seen or used a vacuum type ashtray but it seems like a real good idea.
I'm wondering if it will suck up the entire smokeable if one has to be discarded real fast.

Ash removal must have been dependent on the terrain your were
driving in. Up hill, slow removal, down hill fast removal.

Another vacuum ashtray....

Thanks for the link to the rare accessory website. I have always liked the vases but have never ran across any.

Taxidermied coon tails and squirell tails probably need to be added to his list too. Some coon tails on eBay rite now or was recently. Very nice accessory for any vehicle or clothing article.

Here's a link to an eBay auction for coon tails. Havn't tried any yet.
