It's interesting that babes and cars have pretty much gone together throughout automotive history, but not so often babes and Packards. The caption on this photo noted that the combination was not often part of Packard's ad budget. However, I don't know how much the company had to do with this, or even if it was a publicity shot. It certainly looks professionally done, but whether it's promoting the car or the bathing beauties (or whatever production they were in) is a mystery to me. No mystery about the attraction, though.

Snap-On is apparently more classy than the old Rigid Tool calendar. Some day I'll have to dig out my vintage RT calendars and make some scans. Got a bunch of samples back in the '80s when the Rigid Tool marketing man put on a little seminar for advertising people. Funny stories of where and how they got their cheesecake shots--and there were a surprising number of female attendees there as well. New promotional calendars are getting more rare as the cost of producing them has soared, so the old ones are probably quite coveted items.
